Yes, but these photos are 500px wide. If I take a photo taken with my iPhone 3G (1600 px wide) and reduce it to 500 px wide, the quality would be similar.
To be able to compare we need the photos in native resolution, I do not think that the iPhone 4 takes photos with a width of 500 px.
If I'm not mistaken these are the photos that came out in yesterday's presentation. And if they are made with an iPhone 4, I would be stunned, because the quality they have is very good, much better than most compacts.

The first photo has mostly been retouched (some of the rest too). The intensity of the color does not correspond to a "virgin" photograph, at least their saturation has increased, nor does that color saturation appear in my reflex ...

Retouched photos are not used for comparison, no camera or long cell phone camera the images are so saturated, when seeing the properties of the photo, the EXIF disappears that shows the retouching of the photo ...
