PieMessage: Apple's iMessage on Android [Video]

FootMessage

When Apple started uploading its apps to the Android Google Play store, the next app I thought I'd like to see uploaded was iMessage. The iOS messaging application is secure and, of course, highly integrated into the Apple ecosystem. The downside is that Tim Cook and company are unlikely to carry iMessage to Google Play and other app stores. But if an Android user who wants to use iMessage on their smartphone is reading us, the open source project FootMessage I could help you.

It is not the first time that a developer has managed to bring iMessage to Android devices, but the solutions of the past did not work very well, not to mention that they no longer offer support. The biggest difference between other solutions and PieMessage is that PieMessage has to run everything through a third server, which is a Mac. Although it works, it is inevitable to remember how WhatsApp web works, which I have always said is a botch. (definition of the RAE).

PieMessage brings iMessage to Android

The nice thing about the method PieMessage uses to access messages is that it is much safer than other methods that depend on third-party servers. In addition, it is not necessary to use a jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and, being open source, it is easier for any developer to implement their code in their own application and not be forgotten like other applications that allowed to chat with iMessage from Android.

PieMessage is an application that is in alpha phase, so it should not be surprising if you experience small (and not so small) bugs. You can download its source code from your GitHub page and it is compatible with Android versions from 4.0 to 7.0. In the link above there are also instructions to get PieMessage working on Android.

Why do they want it on android if we do not use it or those of us who have an iPhone.
