Problems for the Pixel: their demand does not reach a tenth of that of the iPhone 7

Google Pixel

When Google introduced its new range pixelHe did it in a big way, claiming it was the best we could buy, saying that his camera was the best available on a smartphone and, as usual, undervaluing the iPhone 7, two phones that Apple had launched about a month earlier. Pixels can be as good as Google seems to be, but you have to know how to sell the products and it seems that the "first" smartphones (they didn't fool anyone) from the search engine company they are struggling to gain a foothold in the market.

According to Best Buy, a store that only sells 32GB Pixel phones, demand for Google's phone is not not a tenth of that of the iPhone 7. This problem may have been contributed by the company now part of Alphabet underestimating a 5.5-inch XL model that is currently out of stock. It also seemed to underestimate a 128GB model that hasn't been in stock since November 30, than it has been for more than a month and a half. In fact, Verizon is giving delivery times for the second week of March, there is nothing.

Google struggles to keep its Pixels afloat

We are aware of inventory issues in the Google Store and at Verizon. Honestly, the demand has exceeded our expectations. We are doing everything we can to continually reestablish stock.

The above words, from a Google spokesperson, contrast with those of a source from Apple Insider from within Best Buy that says:

The demand for the Pixel is not even a tenth of that of the iPhone 7, and we were close in our guesses. But we still underestimate the demand.

In any case, as already mentioned about the 2% market share achieved by AirPods in their first month on sale, We would not be being fair if we did not value in fair measure that people ask for one Pixel every ten iPhone 7. In fact, it's more than they bargained for at Best Buy. How do you see these figures?

Comparing the sale of any smartphone that uses Android OS against iOS is unfair. iOS only has one cell phone line: the iPhone. Android OS has too many different models, which is why Android folks need to divide the clients.

Take into account where you are making the comparison: globally - Google does not distribute its flagship models in all the countries that Apple (specifically I am talking about Mexico, I want to buy Google equipment and they are not available) or at the level of a single country in which both teams are for sale (if the sample is USA, then we can already talk about a comparison).

So there is no stock, people want to buy Pixel but they haven't made enough.
But the publications that live on Apple fans say that what there is not is demand, of course.
Apparently Apple has not been able to sell neither last year's iPhone ... nor this one, whose production has already been reduced ...
So: let everyone think what they want.
    Apple's time has passed.

Hello, A. Vázquez. It's Best Buy that says demand is low.

      A greeting.
