Logitech POP, the first HomeKit-compatible switch

Little by little accessories are appearing that are completing an increasingly extensive catalog compatible with HomeKit. To the light bulbs, sockets, motion sensors, thermostats, surveillance cameras, and a long list of gadgets compatible with Apple's demotic system, HomeKit, we can now add a switch that becomes the first of its kind to be compatible with the Apple system, with which we can activate different scenarios and events integrating with the rest of compatible accessories that we have in our home. This Logitech accessory is called POP and will soon be available in Apple Stores around the world.

POP is, due to its external appearance, a conventional switch available in various colors to perfectly combine with the different rooms of your home, and which will allow us to activate different scenarios that we have configured in our home through the Home application with the press of its button. from our iPhone or iPad. POP will require a hub that will be sold together with the switch and to which several switches can later be connected, and that will be the bridge to connect to the Home application, providing it with the necessary compatibility to be able to work with accessories from other brands as long as they are compatible with the Apple system.

Up to three different actions can be configured with POP, and you can choose between one and the other depending on how you press the button: one press, double press and long press. The price of POP (including a hub) will be $ 59,95 and will soon be available for purchase in Apple's physical and online stores, arriving later to other stores always before the end of this year. According to Logitech, each hub can be connected to an unlimited number of switches, so we can distribute them at home to manage our personal HomeKit.
