Although Apple offers us through iOS the possibility of answer the calls we receive on the iPhone directly on our iPad o Mac, it seems that not many users have it activated, since they do not like that all their devices start ringing at the same time when they receive a call.
Far from eliminating this function, Apple presented in the last WWDC a new function that will allow you to change the sound from an iPhone to the iPad and vice versa automatically, without having to change it manually. This function is ideal when we are watching a movie on the iPad and we receive a call.
When the iPhone rings, the headphones that support this function automatically switch audio source to iPhone, until we hang up the call. At that time, the audio source will return to the iPad, the device we were using before receiving the call.
According to a Reddit user, this feature has become available on Powerbeats Pro, a feature that is also compatible with AirPods Pro, AirPods 2nd generation, Powerbeats, and Beats Solo Pro. This feature requires both devices to be used with the same Apple ID and the latest version of iOS.
For now, not compatible with Mac, but it is a matter of time before Apple releases the final version of macOS Big Sur so that these users can also take advantage of this functionality. If you have Powerbeats Pro, check if you have a new firmware update to start enjoying this functionality.
Regarding the launch of the update for the rest of the models compatible with this function, it was time dates are not known, but if we take into account that Apple does not take long to deploy updates, it will be a matter of days that all devices compatible with this function can make use of it.
