PowerMe allows you to charge your iPhone from an Android device

power me

As you all know, the Apple Pencil, the first Apple stylus ever made for use with the iPad Pro, can be charge by connecting it to the Lightning port of the 12.9-inch iPad. Apple ensures that it will charge achieving a range of 30m with only 15s connected in this way. We don't expect that long, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to do the same with the iPhone? With that idea was born Power Me, an Indiegogo project that seeks financing to be able to go to the market.

PowerMe is actually a very simple system: a cable that connects from an iPhone to an Android device (not compatible from iOS to iOS) or other device with a micro-USB port so that the second transfers energy to the first. It's a shame that it doesn't include Lightning to Lightning support, but it can help us if we have another tablet, such as a Samsung Galaxy Tab or a Nexus 7. https://youtu.be/7L8KrKk-m44

As I mentioned, PowerMe is looking for funding to be launched, but if you are really interested, it is not necessary to pay a large sum of money as in other projects of this type. It can Reserve a PowerMe for only $ 9, a really low price if we take into account how much any type of cable that has some feature that gives it exclusivity costs (that Apple users tell us). If you reserve it, you will receive your PowerMe in January. They will be available in white, gray, green, blue, red and orange.

In the absence of 44 days until the end of the financing period for the project, PowerMe has obtained just over 30% of the money they need, which is more than € 3.000 out of € 10.000. It does not seem that it has a rhythm that makes them optimistic, so, if you are interested, better reserve it before you run out of your PowerMe. You have more information in the official project page on Indiegogo.
