Velvetwire has announced its Powerslayer, a charger for Apple devices and enabled as HomeKit due to its intelligent use of energy. This charger turns off when charging is complete and prevents overheating and consumption of vampire power (energy consumed by electronics while in standby mode).

The charger interact with Apple devices via an iOS app developed by Velvetwire, and you can interact with other HomeKit apps. The application is designed to offer users a visual way to monitor the level of charge that their device is receiving.
