Prestigio Click&Touch 2, keyboard and trackpad all in one

A keyboard and trackpad are essential elements to be able to work with your Mac or iPad, but What if you had both accessories in a single device? Prestigio offers us a keyboard that is also a trackpad, and that has a perfect compact design to take it with you anywhere.

A multi-device keyboard compatible with macOS, Windows, iOS, Android and virtually any platform that supports this type of input, configured to adapt the keys to any system and that it is also a trackpad that even allows multi-touch gestures. It seems like a dream but the reality is that Prestigio has achieved it, and the recognition they have achieved with a fantastic device that has also won the "reddot 2021".

Key features

We are facing a Bluetooth keyboard with a compact size and very light. With a size of 280mmx128mm and a weight of only 283 grams, it is perfect to carry in any backpack or bag. However, it has a practically normal keyboard size, with large and well-spaced keys.. In fact, the keys are even larger than usual, since they barely leave space between them so that there is an almost uniform surface on which you can slide your finger to use it as a trackpad.

Its Bluetooth connectivity allows it to be linked to any device that supports this type of connection: PC and Mac, iOS and Android, even televisions or game consoles as long as they support this type of connection. It also has 3 memories that you can select from the keyboard itself, so switching from one device to another is a matter of a second. And if you want to use cable connection you can also do it.

The keyboard is battery-powered, rechargeable via USB-C with the cable included in the box. The manufacturer does not indicate the autonomy of the keyboard, but in two weeks of normal use I have not yet had to recharge it (after a full charge it is easier to take it out of the box), so there are no complaints in this regard. Also, since you can use it by cable, if you ever run out of battery unexpectedly, you won't have much of a problem either. The keyboard goes into sleep mode when not in use, and also has a switch that turns it off for when you are not going to use it for a long time.

And the most differential feature of this keyboard: integrated trackpad. But when I talk about integrated I don't mean a trackpad that is attached to the keyboard, but the keyboard itself is a trackpad. 80% of the keyboard surface acts as a trackpad, allowing you to control the pointer of your computer or tablet by sliding your finger across it, in the same way as if you were using a conventional trackpad. You can even scroll with two fingers, or gestures with three or four fingers. It also has a left and right mouse button at the bottom of the keyboard, more complete impossible.

Configuration options via app

A keyboard for so many devices and with so many functions needs configuration options, and for that we have an app for iOS and Android called Clevetura (link). There is no application for macOS, or rather, you can only use the app on your Mac if it has the M1 chip, which leaves out older models of Apple computers. In any case, who does not have an iPhone or Android at home, so this is not a big problem either.

If with everything I've told you, this keyboard seems like a perfect idea, wait until you see the configuration options it offers you. We have said that it allows you to use up to four devices (cable + 3 Bluetooth memories), because for each of them you can create a profile, so that when you connect the Mac you have the Mac keys and their shortcuts (for example, copy with cmd+c) and if you link a PC with Windows, theirs (copy with Ctrl+c). You can modify the pointer or scroll speed, reverse the scroll direction or choose between 3-finger and 4-finger gestures, all of which is stored in each profile.

The Trackpad function can be modified so that only the left half of the keyboard works, or the right half of the keyboard works, or completely disable the trackpad function or the keyboard function. All these configuration options are displayed through a very simple and intuitive interface, so getting the keyboard to behave the way you want is a matter of five minutes with the app. We can also perform firmware updates through the application.

As a keyboard, a remarkable

As a keyboard, there are few drawbacks to this Click&Touch 2, in fact I only have two: it cannot be tilted and it is not backlit. They are two negative points that are difficult to solve, since you have to choose between being so light and compact or including these features. Otherwise the behavior is remarkable. Typing has the same sensations as with a conventional keyboard, much like typing on an Apple keyboard. The keys have a scissor mechanism, and their travel is short, the size is perfect, not like other keyboards where they are too close together and sometimes you press the keys you don't want.

You have all the keys of any conventional keyboard, and also Accounts with the functions of Mac and Windows. You even have mobile-specific keys, like the ability to lock your device. Function keys, cursors, multimedia control... nothing is missing from this keyboard.

As a trackpad, almost perfect

If we look in its facet of trackpad, it more than meets. Some gesture is missing, like two-finger zoom, and you have to choose between three-finger or four-finger gestures, you can't have both at the same time. The trackpad surface occupies 80% of the total keyboard, basically the top 3/4 of it, and the keys are designed so you can slide your finger smoothly, with the keys barely spaced for this reason. .

The top row of keys behaves somewhat differently for playback and volume control. The left part controls playback by swiping left or right to rewind or fast forward, and the right part controls volume similarly. And to be able to click we have two buttons just below the space bar that do the main and secondary click function. It is very easy to get used to this behavior, comfortably accessing the click buttons with your thumb while using the rest of your fingers to move the cursor and make gestures. You can use it with the left or right hand, you will not have any problem if you are left-handed.

Editor's opinion

Prestigio has designed a keyboard and trackpad that surprises with its smooth operation and its configuration options. Compact, comfortable and with very good performance both in its keyboard and trackpad aspects, the multiple memories and its perfect adaptation to different operating systems make it a perfect solution for those looking for a portable or even desktop solution for all their devices. , regardless of brand or platform. It is also available with a layout of keys in Spanish. Priced at €109 on Amazon (link), and of €99,99 at El Corte Inglés (link) it is worth every penny of what you pay for it.
