Experts insist more and more on periodically changing passwords and making them much more difficult to crack. However, as a counterpoint to increasing the difficulty of passwords means that how difficult they are we do not remember them. That's where apps like 1Password or Microsoft Authenticator come in. Microsoft has publicly released the 'Autofill' tool for all compatible devices included within its Authenticator app.
Microsoft Authenticator protects and saves your passwords
Authenticator stores your passwords in your microsoft account. To get started with autocomplete on mobile devices, open the Microsoft Authenticator app and then log into the Passwords tab with your Microsoft account. If you have passwords saved in your account Microsoft in Microsoft Edge, they will sync with the Authenticator app.
Microsoft has released publicly, and not in beta as they had until now, the new function Autofill from your Authenticator app. This new tool is nothing more than a password manager and store that will allow access much faster with the autocompletion of the same when we go to access the different services.
The tool works on macOS via Microsoft Edge and a Google Chrome extension and on iOS and Android devices. If we install the app on our iPad or iPhone we will have to apply an extra layer of security: Face ID, Touch ID or a code, so that we protect the sensitive information that is stored in the application. In case we want to access on our computer, we can do so through our Microsoft account.
