Qualcomm is close to reaching an agreement with Apple

We are at the present time, so we have no choice but to tell the next chapter of the grotesque history between Qualcomm and Apple. Two technology giants that are in a lawsuit over the collection of patents that in theory did not belong to the defendant company, for which an improper collection is presumed that amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars.

Qualcomm's CEO says the company is close to reaching an agreement with Apple that will end its litigation. These types of issues are usually resolved through mediation, neither party wants this to reach the end of a judicial procedure.

Steve Mollenkopf is the CEO of this prestigious processor and chip company, and announced in a CNBC interview with host Jim Cramer the following:

We have been talking about it constantly. I have been very persistent with the matter, we really think that between what remains of this year 2018 and the beginning of 2019 we are going to reach an agreement, right now we are one step away from finding a solution, we do not think of anything other than that.

It is clear that the CEO seems quite optimistic, the reality is that in this matter Qualcomm is the company that has lost out, it has stopped exclusively manufacturing connectivity chips for Apple terminals, at the same time that it has lost the confidence of companies like Samsung and Huawei that are increasingly choosing to use their own processors, despite the fact that Qualcomm and its Snapdragon range are still the elite among processors for Android terminals. However, the American media are sure that Apple has no intention of reaching a settlement, but rather of finalizing the matter in court.
