How to remove the jailbreak with Cydia Impactor

cydia-impactor

One of the biggest concerns of any jailbreaker is losing the precious jailbreak. How can this happen? Well, having any serious problem, whether it comes from the jailbreak or not and having to restore. If we restore from the device, the most likely (I did it in iOS 5.1.1 and it worked for me) is that it stays on the block and cannot start, so we have to restore with iTunes. When restoring, logically, the jailbreak goes away, but Apple does not allow us to restore to a version that is not signed, allowing us only to restore to the latest version. If that version is not vulnerable to any jailbreak, we lose it.

But that's already the past. Yesterday Saurik released a tweak, currently in beta and only available for iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4, that will allow us to restore our device from the iPhone without having to update. This means that, if we are in a version vulnerable to a jailbreak, we will remain in a version vulnerable to the same jailbreak. It is a very simple process that we explain to you after the jump.

It is important to mention that Cydia Impactor is not yet compatible with the XNUMXth generation iPod as there are no OTAs for the device yet. It is expected to be compatible in the future.

How to remove the jailbreak with Cydia Impactor

  1. The first, we make a backup from our iPhone with iTunes.
  2. We connect our device and make sure we have at least 20% battery (important).
  3. We install Cydia Impactor from Cydia.
  4. We run Cydia Impactor. To do this, we have to touch its icon on the home screen, then where it says delete all data and unjailbreak deviceFollowed by Delete All. We don't have to touch anything until we see the welcome screen.
  5. We activate our device as we normally would.

For example, if we do it in iOS 8.4, it will restore the device leaving it factory in iOS 8.4 without a trace of the jailbreak. We just have to re-jailbreak it and start over with everything clean.

Below you can see the video made by Jeff Bengamin:

So now you know. Now you can forget about iLex Rat or Semi-restore. Without a doubt, Saurik's proposal will be the best of all and a "Must Have" for any jailbreaker worth its salt.

I provided this with my doubts, and it worked well, so far nothing that I had not done before with ilexrat or with semirestore, then when I started the screen, cydia was not there, and I said because sometimes it happened to me with ilexrat and semirestore, cydia did not appear, like this I was still skeptical that the jalbreak could be eliminated, but then I did a restoration from the system settings and IF GENTLEMEN THIS IS CRAZY, THE JAILBREALK IS GONE AND I CAN DO IT AGAIN WITHOUT MISCONNECTIONS, this must have existed for a long time, so you don't have to update when you find problems.
    THANK YOU SAURIK

Incredible! This is what we needed for a long time. Thanks Saurik! Without him many things would not be possible right now. BIG
