Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus headphones review

The Creative Aurvana range of in-ear headphones has had a new model on sale for several weeks, the Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus and unsurprisingly, this is a product that will not disappoint for those looking for audio quality at a reasonable price.

As in other editions of the Aurvana series, the new Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus are delivered in an attractive packaging that hides inside a lots of additional accessories. Along with the headphones, we will also receive a carrying case, three sets of ear cushions (one of which is foam), a cleaning tool, and an audio adapter for use on airplanes.

As these are in-ear headphones, it is important that the first few minutes are lost in choose the correct size pads for our ears. The comfort and bass response of the headphones will largely depend on this, therefore, it is very important to choose the appropriate size of the silicone ear pads, after all, for that they give us a pair of them in size S, M and L.

Creative Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus, first impressions

Creative Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus

Once we have the correct ear pads in the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus, we move on to what interests us: the sound quality.

It is curious that headphones of this type have a frequency response from 10 hz to 17Khz, leaving out the highest frequencies of the audible range of the human being that usually reach 20Khz. Although this may be a drawback for the most audiophiles, the truth is that I have not had the perception of a lack of dynamic range, what is more, the mid and high frequencies are one of the strengths of the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus.

The mids and highs have always been one of the hallmarks of the Aurvana series and in the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus it was not going to be different. Listening to music, musical genres in which this type of sounds predominate is quite an experience, clearly reproducing each of the sounds present in the song. The voices also take on more prominence and sound natural, close, increasing the degree of emotion that they transmit to our body.

What I keep missing is a stronger presence of low frequencies. The Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus have nice and defined low frequencies but in my opinion, they lack depth. Perhaps it is the only downside that I would put to this group but this is something personal that also only affects certain musical genres.

The solution to achieve greater bass presence is to use an equalizer and even if we increase the intensity of the bass, the sound remains balanced and clean.

Few people pay attention to headphones, staying with the standard ones that, without being bad, cannot be compared to ones like the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus. You can listen to music and you can listen to music, In uppercase. As I say, the Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus are at another level both in quality and clarity and that helps the songs feel differently.

Insulation and comfort, pillars of the Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus

Creative Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus

In-ear headphones are usually characterized by isolating quite well from external noise but in the case of the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus, it goes further. The official figures of the company ensure that a 98% insulationA figure that I cannot confirm, but I will tell you that in the middle of the Chamartín metro station in Madrid, with the volume turned down on the iPhone, no ambient noise sneaks in. The 1,3 meter oxygen-free cable also helps to prevent its rubbing against our clothes from introducing strange noises. Without a doubt, this is a clear advantage to avoid using excessive volumes that only end up damaging our hearing health.

Another highlight is its comfort. Inserting them into our ear in the correct way can take us a few minutes if we have never tried headphones in this way but once we get the hang of it, it is a piece of cake. I say this because the cable of each earphone passes through the gap between the ear and the skull, as if it were a gutter. The system works, is comfortable and allows us to use the headphones for hours without discomfort.

All this means that we have to enhance the rest of our senses to the maximum. Isolating ourselves completely from the outside can be dangerous if we are in the street since we do not hear cars, ambulances or anything that happens around us. In this case, a lot of caution, although this is applicable to any other headset on the market, not just the Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus.

Also as hands-free

Creative Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus

The Creative Aurvana In-Ear3 Plus headphones are designed to be used with mobile devices such as the iPhone, hence they incorporate a 3,5 millimeter four pole audio jack, all in order to incorporate a hands-free module and volume control that also has a button that will allow us to invoke Siri, pause music playback or answer a call.

El integrated microphone on headphones it works well and makes the other person hear us loud and clear, with no strange background noises or anything like that.

El audio jack is gold plated And as we can read on the product's website, it may bring some type of incompatibility with products that use three-pole audio jacks:

Compatible with the latest smartphones and tablets that support 4mm 3,5-pole connectors (CTIA standard). Features may vary by device. It is recommended not to use them with a device with normal stereo or with a 3-pole connector.

Its price is not exorbitant, you would be surprised to know what a high-end headphones cost.

I have bought the Xiaomi Piston 3.0 and I suppose that compared to the Creative, the quality will not have anything to do with it ... but neither will the price!

It is clear, I have had a Sennheiser CX300, CX500 and the last ones a SoundMagic E10, very happy with the latter as well. The Aurvana are on another level, they sound different and that is appreciated when you can distinguish each of the frequencies of the song.

In the end is what I comment, you go from listening to music with good quality to feeling it.

I recently had the opportunity to test some Martin Logan speakers (more than 12.000 euros) and it is clear that I would not buy them but the experience was incredible, you come out with the creeps.

      Regards!
