Otterbox Armor review: the extreme case for iPhone

We have already told you a few weeks ago about the two most protective Otterbox covers, the Otterbox Commutter, with medium protection and two layers of protection, the Otterbox Defender with high protection and three layers of protection and now we are going to show you the Otterbox Armor, with extreme protection and four layers of protection.

For most of you the Otterbox Commuter will be a case that will offer you enough protection against shocks, for some it will be necessary to go to the Otterbox Defender, since it is also resistant to splashes and you will be very few who need the Otterbox Armor, a cover submersible, that resists a crushing load of 2.000 kg, falls up to three meters, etc. The maximum protection there is.

With a very high price this cover is in a range only suitable for the most demanding, those who currently cannot take their iPhone to work or play sports due to the high risk of dying in the attempt. With this case you have your iPhone insured, it does not matter if you like extreme sports or that you are a specialized military man. Otterbox Armor

Completely sealed, resistant to dust, to the blows and to everything. Otterbox Armor not available yet, but will go on sale on February 28, 2013, its price will be about 95 euros, only suitable for those who really need protection like this.

Their Connectors are sealed in a raincoat, and the most curious thing: it has some membranes that they let the but not the water, so your iPhone will ring (and your microphone will pick up the audio) without allowing the water to enter and disturb anything.

It must be said that the cover is quite thick and heavy, but it is made of steel, it is resistant to corrosion, it has 4 layers of protection, you can take a bath with your iPhone ... surely some of you think, how could they not have invented this before? If you are one of those few users who are going to start taking the iPhone to those places where you have never been able to do it for fear of breaking it, you will have to wait a few weeks to buy it.

I'm sure some of you think, why haven't they invented this before?

Well no ... because it was already invented long before ... it's called Lifeproof ... it does not resist 2000kilos of but it has enough IP-68 certificate for everyone who does not want to take a mallet and lynch the phone, with that certificate you can use it perfectly in a pool, on the beach etc ... (I attest to this) it weighs less, does not make your device a brick and is much cheaper .. 60 euros on the page. official and 30 or there on ebay. Greetings.

I think it has nothing to do with it, the screen on the lifeproof is fully exposed, it is not waterproof, it does not withstand compression ... in any case it is more comparable with the Commuter or the Defender than with the Armor.

You are wrong Gnzl, in the Lifeproof the screen is not exposed, it is also waterproof and it is much thinner. In fact, it seems to me that the mute button has been copied to Lifeproof ... Anyway, it is better to invest 60 euros on the official page because the 30 euros on Ebay are imitation ...

As Pepito says, the screen is not exposed, they are two pieces, with their membranes and such so that water does not pass and you can use it perfectly, etc. It is submersible 2 meters / 30 min.

I would be more interested in presenting covers that do not affect
the design of the iPhone, we have already seen many "super protective" and almost none
for lightweight protection. I would be grateful if they did, as it is from the
what am I looking for. Congratulations on the good work on the blog.
