It is now a month since our favorite company introduced the new Apple Watch Series 1 and 2. Both have powerful dual-core processors and offer greater performance and power. But if you have a first generation Apple Watch and you are not willing to empty your pocket again by acquiring one of the current devices, you should know that with the installation of watchOS 3 your Apple watch will feel like new.
watchOS 3 integrates big changes like a completely new function for the side button that now shows a dock with the most used applications up to seven times faster than in watchOS 2. This completely changes the way you interact with the watch, but there are also small Tweaks like the automatic pause for workouts, the new way of sending messages in the form of doodles or the new sphere dedicated to Activity. Following, We do a complete review of the best tips so that with watchOS 3 your Apple Watch does not have to envy anything to the new models.
Customize the Dock
The "glimpses" that appeared when you swiped your finger up on the screen have disappeared and now, just by pressing the side button, the Dock will appear in which the most used applications are included. There you can place any app, and they are constantly updated so that the information is updated instantly (or almost).
You can put up to 10 applications on the dock. To do this, open the Apple Watch application on your iPhone, then visit My Watch> Dock. Press Edit in the upper right and add, delete or choose the order in which you want them to appear.
Take advantage of the Control Center
Now when you slide your finger up on the screen, the new control center appears in which you can check how much battery you have left and have quick and easy access to functions such as airplane mode, activate silence or vibration, expel water, lock Apple Watch with an access code, search for your iPhone, or AirPlay .
Invite your friends to share the Activity
Activity has now incorporated social functions. You will be able to see the daily progress of your friends regarding their goals. You can also send messages of encouragement so that your friends do not give up and if you feel up to it, they can compete with them even if the distance separates you.
To take advantage of these features, you must invite your friends to share their details with you and wait for them to accept. This can be done in the iOS Activity application (not from the Watch app on the iPhone or from the watch itself).
Activate automatic pause for your workouts
One of the most useful features of watchOS 3 when it comes to physical activity is the automatic pause. Now, when you are running and you have to start at a traffic light, your watch will detect it and automatically pause without you having to do anything.
The automatic activity pause is not activated as standard, so you must activate it from the Apple Watch app on your iPhone: My watch> Training and activate the option.
If you don't want to enable automatic pause, you can pause your activity by sliding the clock screen to the right to display the options pause, end, and lock the clock.
Take advantage of handwriting
There are times when you cannot, or do not want, to take out your iPhone, or dictate the response to a message is not possible nor do you have the most appropriate predefined response stored. Precisely for those moments you can take advantage of that "scribble" or handwriting function on the screen of your Apple Watch.
For send a message with a doodleSimply tap the giant squiggle bubble in the response options, which also include Digital Touch, emoji, voice dictation, and any quick responses you already have stored.
We still have a lot of tips to review, so don't miss the second part of this post, because the best is yet to come.
Scribble doesn't work with the Spanish language yet, am I right?
These people have no fucking idea. They only dedicate themselves to translating from American websites. You catch them in a resignation every two times three. The «doodle» function does not appear on my watch ...
Do you think that when Apple implants it in Spanish it will call it "doodle"?
