Saumsung Gear IconX, the new headphones of the Korean brand

For months we have been talking about the headphones that Apple could launch together with the new iPhone 7 if it is confirmed that it no longer has a headphone jack. Although it is most likely that the current EarPods headphones will have a Lightning connector and whatever they include in the iPhone box, some of us dream of some new Bluetooth headphones similar to those that Earin or Bragi Dash have already managed to sell through Kickstarter. While waiting for what Apple does, Samsung has taken the ideas of these brands and has just launched its Gear IconX Bluetooth headphones.

These small "in-ear" headphones have the latest technological specifications, going beyond what are simple headphones, because they become another "wearable": heart rate monitor, physical activity monitor, calorie counter, etc. Of course they have Bluetooth connectivity, 4GB of internal storage to save your music and listen to it without the need to carry your iPhone, and touch controls on the external surface that allow you to use gestures such as touch or slide to control music playback or increase and decrease the volume. The most disappointing thing, its battery: only 90 minutes (which will then be somewhat less in practice) to listen to music from your iPhone, about 3 and a half hours if you do it from the internal storage of the headphones. It is true that the case is in turn a battery to recharge the headphones, but it seems more than poor autonomy for most occasions.

The new Samsung Gear IconX have already passed through the hands of some specialized blogs such as The Verge, Gizmodo or Engadget, and the reviews are good for almost all aspects except the battery. They seem like comfortable headphones, the controls respond well to gestures, the sound quality is good, but they are oriented almost to be used exclusively for when you go out to do sports due to their limited autonomy. They will be priced at $ 199 and will be released after the summer. It's your turn, Apple.
