We have already seen several schematics and renders on the next iPhones, but it never hurts to see others. It does not hurt because the more information we see about something, the more confident we will be that that detail will be present in the final device. Today, 9to5mac posted new schemes that would confirm several things, starting because the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus / Pro will have dimensions practically traced to the iPhone 6 / 6s that were launched in 2014 and 2015.
According to these schemes, the iPhone 7 will be a tenth of a millimeter thicker than iPhone 6s (which in turn was a little thicker than the iPhone 6) and will become 7.2mm (7.3mm for the Plus model). On the other hand, these schemes would confirm the open secret that Apple will eliminate the 3.5mm headphone port, the most controversial novelty that the Cupertino company has included in recent years.
The Smart Connector for the iPhone 7 Plus would be confirmed
In the images we see several interesting details, but that make us think that there is something that does not quite fit: the first thing is that the 7-inch iPhone 4.7 has two speakers. The problem with this is that the "normal" model is smaller and cheaper than the Plus model, so it would be surprising to see a second speaker on the 4.7-inch model and not the 5.5-inch model. The second thing that stands out is that the front of the iPhone 7 Plus / Pro does not have the screen well marked. Does this mean that Apple will launch an iPhone with a screen that would reach all the way to the top and bottom edges? Unlikely, if not impossible.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus of this new scheme would have the Smart Connector that the latest iPad that have been launched and the dual camera that has been talked about in recent months is already present. I would like to believe that these diagrams tell us what the next smartphones on the apple will look like, but the second speaker in the smaller model and the absence of the screen in the Plus model make me very skeptical. What do you think?
