Seiko reissues the watch that Steve Jobs wore in the iconic 1984 photograph

Many are the collectors who years after the death of Steve Jobs, are paying large sums of money to be able to get personal belongings of the founder of Apple with Steve Wozniak. Throughout the history of Apple, many have been the photographs of Steve Jobs that have become part of the history of the company. In one of them we find Steve Jobs next to the IBM logo, when relations with the company are not at their best, as it is today.

In another of the photographs that have gone down in the history of the company, we find it above these lines where we see Steve Jobs next to the first Macintosh at his house in Woodside. Although it is not very clearly appreciated, the watch that Jobs wore on his wrist was a Seiko Nano, a fairly simple model that did not offer anything special. For all the mythomaniacs who follow the company, the Seiko company in Japan has just announced the launch of a limited edition of the Seiko Nano 6431-6030, a model that will be available in a white color like the one Jobs wore or in black with a 37,5mm or 33mm dial (Steve Jobs model).

As I have said above, this model does not offer us anything special in terms of watchmaking, and the company has not wanted to take advantage of the pull that Jobs's figure represents, since the price of this device will be 177 dollars. Seiko has only released 1982 units in white and 300 in black, so it is unlikely that you can get one of these models, so you will have to go to resale. In February of last year, the original watch that Steve Jobs wore in those photos was auctioned, fetching a final price of $ 42.500.
