On July 23, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will begin, an edition that due to the pandemic was delayed a year, like the Eurocup and the America's Cup. For the new edition of these games, they have been added 5 new sports modalities, among which we find Skateboarding.
To celebrate the fact that skateboarding has become an Olympic game, the boys of Snowman, creator of the titles Alto's Odyssey and Alto's Adventure, will launch on 23 July a new expansion of the game Skate City, a game that is only available through Apple Arcade.
This new expansion, will include many famous neighborhoods and places to skateboard in the city of Tokyo. In addition, it will also include 50 new challenges, leaderboards, new tables and much more. The co-founder of Snowman, Ryan Cash, has shared all the news that will come from the hand of this update:
- 21 new challenges
- 30 new goals in Endless Skate
- New soundtrack
- New decks, clothes and equipment in the Skate Shop to unlock
- New leaderboards for the best scores in challenge mode
According to Ryan Cash:
For the past few years we've been looking for an interesting way to link a real-world event to something we do, but we never wanted to do something that didn't make sense. When the Tokyo games were announced, it was a no-brainer for us. Skateboarding is going to participate in the Olympic Games for the first time in history, which is a triumphant moment for this sport. We knew we had to be a part of it in some way.
This title only available through Apple Arcade subscription, a subscription that has a price of 4,99 euros per month.
