A couple of hours ago, the Koreans from Samsung have officially presented the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + the new flagships with which the company wants to stand up to the reign in the high-end of the different iPhone models. Although throughout the last few weeks practically all the news of this terminal have been leaked, until it has been officially presented in New York we have not been able to confirm all its specifications, because as with the rumors surrounding the iPhone, until its official presentation there is nothing officially confirmed.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + camera
The new Galaxy S8 and S8 +, like the iPhone 7, continues to choose to implement a camera with a resolution of 12 mpx, showing that once again the quality of the photographs rewards the resolution. In this sense, the camera of the S8 and S8 + offers us an aperture of f / 1,7 for the f / 1,8 of the iPhone 7 in its two versions. Like the Apple models, the new Samsung models allow us to record video in 4k quality and in slow motion up to 240 fps. The front camera of the S8 and S8 + has increased its resolution to 8 mpx, 3 mpx more than the iSight camera built into the two iPhone 7 models.
Samsung has not implemented the two cameras that have become common among smartphone manufacturers lately, and which are available on the iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone 7 Plus cameras are a wide angle with an aperture of f / 1,8 and a telephoto lens with an aperture of f / 2,8, offering us a 2x optical zoom and digital zoom up to 10x.

Samsung has chosen this year to leave aside the flat model, without rounded edges on the screen, launching two models with curved screen edges, in two different sizes: 5,8 and 6,2 inches. In this sense, the Korean company has chosen to offer a resolution of 2960 × 1440 in both. models, a resolution that contrasts with the one that we can find in the iPhone 7, whose resolution is 1334 × 750 and that of the iPhone 7 Plus that offers us a Full HD resolution. The screen of the S8 and S8 +, like the previous model, is OLED and offers us the Always On function, which shows us information on the screen continuously with little impact on battery consumption.
Although it had been rumored, the fingerprint sensor has been located on the back of the device, because in the front there is not enough space to be able to implement it, so the rumors that it would be integrated into the screen were not correct. The next terminal that Samsung launches on the market, the Note 8, if it is more than likely that it already integrates the fingerprint sensor on the screen, as in theory it will also offer us the next iPhone.

It is known that Apple designs its operating system to specific hardware specifications, so that the battery consumption should always be as tight as possible, although the latest updates do not confirm this rule. Samsung, on the other hand, faces software that it has not designed when creating its devices, software that is obviously not as optimized as iOS can be.
The 7-inch iPhone 4,7's battery is 1.969 mAh while that of the iPhone 7 Plus is 2.900 mAh. The iPhone 7 in its two versions, is managed by the A10 chip, a processor dedicated in part to energy consumption and to offer maximum performance.
