Social Security apps come to your iPhone

"Better late than never" is what they must have thought of the Social security on the creation of applications to give a better service to the taxpayer, and it is that after all the modernization of the administration has always been slower than that of the world in which we live and proof of this is that we obtain the first apps from Social Security in 2013 ... with some somewhat dated details as standard.

Appointment

With this application you can reserve a Day and hour specifically to go to the Social Security to carry out the necessary procedures, being able to also consult and cancel the appointments that we have already set. In the application we can see the centers that we have closer to our current position to make the relevant reservation, something that is quite useful if we are not in our usual city.

The application has no other use than its own name describes, so it only makes sense have it if you regularly approach the Social Security offices to carry out procedures.

Status report

Possibly the worst app ever released by the Social security. It only allows us to see the current status and does not allow us to go through our entire working life, so it is quite uninteresting, especially if we consider that many times what we are interested in is reviewing the entire history of registrations and cancellations that we have had in administration files.

It must also be said that ratings of users are being especially critical of this application, and after using it I can say what reason they are not lacking.

Mobile Social Security

It is the most generic application and allows us consult data on the different administrations in the localities we want, obtain information on the latest news related to Social Security and register as a mobile user to be able to carry out procedures from the iPhone, although I personally have not had a good experience with this point.

It should be noted that the applications are not optimized for the iPhone 5 screen, which is a huge shame considering the budgets that administrations move for this type of project, which I can tell you are not exactly low. The iPhone 5 has been on the market since the end of last year, and in fact those of us who have one already have almost no applications that are not optimized in the Springboard.

You say…. "It should be noted that the applications are not optimized for the iPhone 5 screen"

But hadn't you announced a few days ago that Apple would not allow publishing new app's or updates to existing ones without these being adapted to the iPhone 5 screen? What happened? Has Apple backed down on this issue? Because if so, it would seem a shame to me beyond the fact that it is indeed a shame that these particular apps are not adapted to that screen.

Regarding the subject at hand, wouldn't it be much more interesting if there was a single app that unifies all the others? On what you comment on the app of the working life… As you say Carlos very well, it is a joke; what you look for every time you consult your working life is precisely your working life, your WHOLE working life.

Well, as an external computer analyst who has worked in the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural and Marine Affairs ... the budget items are high. But the service managers do not clarify themselves, they do not know how to give certain requirements and the scope of the project shifts in time, the contract (INDRA, everis) loses money and in the end the development leaves doing many hours, leaving at many and a lot ugly.

And I have spent 6 years between Ministries and Councils in Madrid ... a shame
