At this point, it is an open secret and few people will not know the future plans of the Cupertino-based company related to streaming video. Apple has reached different agreements with both actors and producers, the most important part of the cake in this sector, since They are the content creators.
But apparently Apple is getting so involved that some producers and agents have begun to express their discomfort stating that they do not have the freedom they need to create and it has become very difficult to work for the company that is planning to soon introduce its streaming video service.
Apparently both Tim Cook and other executives have been described as intrusive. Most claim that they are continually receiving notes from Apple of content they have already produced or scripted in which they contribute their opinion. Other sources affirm that from Apple there is a lack of transparency and clarity that is accompanying Apple's foray into this sector since its inception.
One agent claimed that Apple is heavily involved, stating that both writers and directors prefer to work unsupervised by the company in which they are collaborating. One of the notes they are getting the most is "Don't be so bad." Tim Cook has visited the film sets of multiple shows such as See's Vancouver, a futuristic sci-fi show, and the Los Angeles-based film set starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
In the midst of all this, a producer claims that Apple's overall goal is not clear enough and that the lack of clarity has caused confusion among the majority of production companies with which Apple has signed an agreement.
They are making big changes, laying off and hiring new writers. There is a lack of clarity about what they want. Much of the product is not as good as they expected it to be.
As stated by The New York Times months ago, Apple wants the content it produces be for all audiences, so violent content, in any of its forms, is totally prohibited. However, if Apple is looking for its Breaking Bad, it is going to have a really hard time.
