Spotify redesigns the Library section and adds dynamic filters

Spotify

The guys at Spotify, far from settling for being the most popular streaming music service in the world with 158 million subscribers, they continue to add new functions in the version of the application for mobile devices and a new update will be released shortly.

This new update offers us, as the main novelty, a new grid layout for the Your Library section, similar to the one that we can find on the main page and that we can alternate with the list view as before.

Another novelty that is included in this update, are the dynamic filters that allow us to navigate through our collection in a faster way to find downloaded content, new sorting options to be able to find content by name, alphabetical order ... and the possibility of anchoring content at the top to always have it at hand.

What's new in the new Spotify update for iOS

  • New dynamic filters to help you navigate your collection. Choose from album, artist, playlist, or podcast to see what audio you've saved and match.
  • Better sorting options. Choose to view your audio alphabetically, by recent plays, or by creator name. It is now organized.
  • More control and easier access to what you listen to the most. Choose up to four playlists, albums, or podcast shows to keep them pinned for instant access. You just have to slide your finger to the right on these elements to see the option to "pin".
  • Use the new grid view to categorize the content you like in a more visual way, with large album covers, playlists and podcasts.

From Spotify they claim that this new update will begin to reach all users throughout the next week.
