The different services of streaming all markets are collapsing. For some time, and for a fairly comfortable monthly fee, we can enjoy both a wide catalog of music and series or movies. One of the precursors of these services is Spotify, although later the rivals signed by Google, Apple and Amazon.
Now, in order to get more customers, Spotify is testing new services. And it has been learned that one of them is "Stations", a mobile application that is currently only available on the Android platform and in only one country, Australia.
Spotify has long had radio stations and lists created by the service itself that its users can enjoy. Now, what is the best way to have a good claim to a target audience? Offer a free service. And Station is what it offers to Australian users who have downloaded the app on their Android terminal.
However, in this application there will be no searches, as stated in the description of the new app-service itself. But once you enter Station, the music lists —or stations— are already created. Likewise, you can always discard those that you do not like or interest, but it will be impossible for you to create new stations with the songs or the style that interests you. Of course, you can pause the music and give 'like' for Stations to learn and the following open sessions best suits your tastes.
Apparently with this move, Spotify wants Pandora users to opt for its new service and thus get even more market share against the competition. Users who may, once they spend time in a free state, become users premium in any of its modalities.
