Ryan Petrich is already testing Activator 1.9.8 beta 1

Activator

Ryan Petrich has released a new version of his most famous tweak, Activator. The new version is the 1.9.8 1 beta, so it is not yet available in the official repositories. This update adds several new functions and tweak improvements. One of the novelties adds improvements when doing scroll (swipe up or down) in the Activator preferences panel and an action to clean (not to be confused with close) all applications from the application selector or multitasking. Below you have the complete list of changes.

Activator 1.9.8 beta 1 changelog

  • The actions to create mail / message / phone are shown in the photo of the contact.
  • In iOS 9, canceling events by tapping is on by default.
  • Added an option to clear all apps from the app launcher (multitasking). This function does not close the applications, but makes them not visible.
  • Force Touch events have been added to the left and right margins.
  • Performance has been improved when swiping up / down in the application settings.

In order to install this version of Activator you must have installed the developer repository. To do this you have to do the following:

  1. We open Cydia.
  2. Let's go to sources.
  3. We tap on Edit.
  4. We tap on Add.
  5. In the pop-up window we write https://rpetri.ch.repo/
  6. We tap on Add and wait for it to load.
  7. If we have Activator installed, the update will appear in the Changes tab. We select the tweak and touch Update.

As always in these cases, it is important to mention that this version is a beta, more specifically the first. You should only install it if you want to try the new features and if you don't depend on Activator for something important. You are likely to experience unexpected shutdowns or even reboots, although it is also true that Activator does not usually give big problems even in the case of versions in beta.
