Epic Games' game Fortnite has become a money generating machine, money that you want to continue generating by launching periodic updates with new functions, objects, weapons, features ... The fifth season is now available for all platforms where Fortnite is, and where Android is not one of them.
As expected, this fifth season not only brings us new challenges, but also offers us new objects, a new vehicle (in addition to the shopping cart) and a function that is only available for the iOS ecosystem: automatic trigger, a feature that iOS users will surely appreciate.
And I say they will be grateful, because at the moment there is no trace or indication that Epic Games intend to offer support for compatible gamepads with iOS, like the Nimbus, a command that would greatly facilitate control over our character in each battle, where only one can remain.
What's new in version 5.0.0 of Fortnite for iOS
- New vehicle: off-road cart. Fortnite introduces a new way to the game for squads to move around the island quickly and easily, crossing any type of terrain. This cart is actually a golf cart that adapts to all types of terrain.
- Automatic shooting. As I mentioned above, this option, which we can deactivate and continue as before, allows us to automatically shoot enemies. We just have to aim and the game takes care of the rest. A fantastic idea when we meet an enemy up close and start jumping because we can't find the fire button.
- A few games? Only for users who purchase the season 5 pass, they will have the possibility to play a game of golf or basketball with cosmetic items.
Although according to the App Store, Fortnite only occupies 140 MB, we must bear in mind that this is not the real space it occupies since once we install the game, when running the application it will begin to download everything from Epic's servers the necessary content to be able to enjoy the game. In the case of the iPhone, the necessary space is 1,82 GB while in the iPad it is only 1,01 GB. The reason, only the guys at Epic know, but it doesn't make much sense. It is not advisable to close the game while the download is in progress as this task is not performed in the background as you might expect and it will start over again.
Fortnite requires iOS 11 or higher to work and also is not compatible with all terminals. Works on iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, X; iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, Pro but not compatible with the following terminals: iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, iPod Touch.
