The AirPods Pro 2 will not have sensors to monitor your health

The AirPods Pro 2 have already turned two years old, and it seems that before they reach the third year we will have a new model, but contrary to what has been said so far, there will be no heart rate or temperature sensors.

The new generation of AirPods Pro is about to arrive. We all hope that at the presentation event of the new iPhone 14 we can see Apple's new True Wireless headphones. Much has been rumored about the news that these new AirPods Pro can bring, and something that many have agreed on is the possibility that they include sensors to monitor heart rate or body temperature. Well, Mark Gurman has ruined this possibility, indicating that although this new functionality will probably come to headphones one day, this year 2022 will not be the date on which this happens. Yes, Apple is working on including both sensors in its headphones, but it's not ready to go to market yet.

Including physical activity and health monitoring functions in headphones makes perfect sense. With them on you could do without any other type of device to control your activity, so you would not have to wear Apple Watch, or any other activity monitor. Although at the same time there are those who say that this would be shooting themselves in the foot, since if your AirPods do that job for you... why would you want an Apple Watch? Perhaps that is why this functionality will not come until the Apple Watch can do other things that sufficiently differentiate it from the AirPods Pro and does not risk affecting its sales.

Something that does seem like it could include this new model of AirPods Pro is support for High Definition sound. Apple launched this new functionality in Apple Music months ago, but with the peculiarity that none of its headphones support it, not even the AirPods Max. A new Bluetooth codec that allows you to listen to HD Music could be the solution to this problem, and these new AirPods Pro could be for the first time compatible.
