As Javier says above, with the iPhone 4 and iPad 1 the cable is only used to view your photos and videos. On the other hand, with the iPad 2 you can see EVERYTHING you do on the screen, games, apps, the internet… EVERYTHING. It is a BIG difference, because to see videos and photos there were cables before ...
