The Apple Store has marked its now traditional "We'll be right back" message at noon indicating that they are making some changes. Everything seemed to indicate that the new iPad were about to fall and would be presented, as we expected, without an event in October. Apple has already updated the Apple Store and we have new devices from the Mac and iPad range available in the Cupertino online store. We tell you below what models have been presented.
New iPad Pro and iPad 10th Generation
Let's start with the iPad part. Apple has presented us with news, as we already anticipated and all the rumors pointed out, about the Pro range and the entry range, which comes with a completely new design.
On the one hand, we have the new iPad Pro (let's call it 2022) that Apple has launched in two sizes, 11 and 12,9 inches, thus maintaining the existing ones. The novelties, however, come in the interior since the design is practically the same, with finishes in Space Gray and Silver. This iPad Pro now has the following features:
- The expected M2 chip, with increased device performance.
- Retina XDR display on 12,9-inch model (Liquid Retina in l of 11) with ProMotion technology, true Tone and wide color gamut.
- LiDAR scanner accompanying a front camera with ultra wide angle and Centered Framing.
- Connectivity Wi-Fi 6E and 5G for LTE models
- Maintains compatibility with Second-generation Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, and Smart Keyboard Folio
The models will have the possibility of being equipped from 128GB up to 2TB y starting at €1.449, rising to €1.579 for 246GB and a proportional increase for the 512GB models and 1 and 2 TB, reaching €2.829 (plus the possibility of making them LTE). Currently deliveries will be made on October 20, but we'll see as people book them.
On the other hand, we have a total face lift of the input iPad, these being the 10th Generation iPad. Here highlights the design you get from the iPad Air, finally no home button and a finish in 4 different colors (Silver, Yellow, Red and Blue). The features that Apple highlights are the following:
- chip A14 Bionic.
- Liquid Retina Display 10,9 inches.
- 12Mpx ultra wide angle horizontal front camera with Centered Framing just like the Pro models.
- Connectivity Wi-Fi 6 and ability to connect 5G on LTE models
- Compatibility with First generation Apple Pencil, the Magic Keyboard Folio, and the Smart Folio.
- USB-C port.
These entry models will come with only the base capacity of 64GB for €579 without LTE or 256GB with a price that reaches €779 without LTE. The current availability date for reservations is next 26 de Octubre and may be affected as the day goes by and reserves increase.
News in the Mac range
Apple has launched a renewal of the 13″ Macbook Air and Pro range. Renewals that may not be enough for many users, but finally incorporate the new Apple M2 chips. The novelties that each of the devices has the following:
MacBook Air with M2 chip. This renewal does not bring a change in design compared to the previous Air model, but it does incorporate the new M2 chip that gives Apple's lightest laptop a autonomy of up to 18 hours. It maintains a 13,6-inch Liquid Retina and reaches 500 nits of brightness and incorporates one new to a total of 4 different finishes: Space Gray, Midnight Blue (the new color), Silver and Gold. Starting from €1.519 with 256GB, can be picked up today in stores.
Finally, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the one that we could say is the "Entry Pro" and that keeps the Touch Bar equipped, Now you also have the M2 chip allowing greater efficiency and reaching up to 20 hours of autonomy. Maintains finishes Space Gray and Silver or part of €1.619 with 256GB SSD storage.
