Apple Watch battery catapults with watchOS 3.1, this is what we have verified

Watch 3.1

WatchOS 3.1 arrived accompanied by updates for macOS Sierra, and of course for iOS. However, there was something that Apple Watch users could not imagine. True, a system optimization was promised, but that phrase appears in virtually every update note, and each time it becomes a bigger lie. However, to Caesar what is Caesar's. And it is that after a few weeks of use, we have noticed that the battery of the Apple Watch has improved considerably with watchOS 3.1, calmly reaching three days of use.

We have been able to verify the performance in all kinds of areas. With a normal routine, composed of a work and student day, with its consequent transfers and notifications, we have been able to verify that it is not difficult to get home from 10 in the morning to 10 at night, with approximately 70% of the battery, in many cases even more so.

But the real surprise comes with tourism, in rounds of around 20.000 daily steps, with the device connected in normal conditions, it has managed to last three full days, reaching the third day in the middle of the afternoon with 10% of the autonomy still remaining. .

The reality is that the battery improvements with watchOS 3.1 have been considerable. In this case we have been able to verify its benefits in an Apple Watch Series 1. We imagine that the Apple Watch Series 2 may have a lower range of autonomy in this case due to the GPS it includes, however, it is quite evident that it can last two days on a single full charge without messing up. It seems that Apple is taking the development of its operating system for watches quite seriously, and users appreciate it very much. However, the big pending task is still the time it takes for applications to run, things in the Palace go slowly.

I don't quite understand why, but the same thing continues to consume me.

I do not know what model you are talking about, but the model that I have (the first to leave) has not reached me even a day ago,

It is well clarified in the article that we talk about an Apple Watch Series 1

I have 3.1 with series 1 I get 2 days quiet and you can see until the morning of the 3rd day, check well what applications they have installed and especially the notifications they use, for example WhatsApp I do not have it on the clock and that reduces a lot of battery Since it does not have a native application, it is not necessary to re-live these notifications

I understand that if you don't have WhatsApp, or Telegram, and you used the clock to measure your heart rate and check the time, it is easy for the battery life to be longer. But personally for those purposes, I would use another type of cheaper watch. It's my point of view, for the record. I use it to constantly have to take my phone out of my pocket, and the battery barely lasts a day. I repeat, I suppose that if you do not receive just notifications, you cancel the one that the screen turns on when raising the hand and something else, the battery will last a long time, but that is like the one that says the iPhone battery lasts 3 days, but I have it in mode plane .

Leaving aside what you may have or not, the best test I think is mine, I have the series 2 and with the V 3.0 it lasted 2 days, with exactly the same apps and the same configuration and practically the same use lasts me now with V 3.1 3 days (hours up or down). So I agree with the post, the update improves battery life.
