The Apple Watch Series 4 will have the same straps as the current ones

It seems that we will have a new Apple Watch along with the new iPhones. The fourth generation of Apple's smartwatch will therefore arrive at the end of the year and despite some rumors that we have seen in the previous months it seems that the change of shape will have to wait.

A watch with a design practically identical to the current one but with a larger screen and therefore compatible with current straps, that will be what we see in the presentation event next September. Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has given us the details (few) of this new Apple Watch.

There will be no round Apple Watch except a capital surprise. Apple remains firm in its idea that a circular screen is not the most suitable for a device of this type and therefore we will have the same Apple Watch design that we can see right now. Of course, the screen will be somewhat larger thanks to some thinner frames, according to the leaks, 0% larger in size.. No details are given on whether the display technology will change or remain OLED as before.

By maintaining the same square shape and dimensions, the straps will continue to serve in this new generation, a relief for those who have built their collection of straps, who will see that they will be able to continue using them on the new watch. Gurman also says that the new watch will have a longer battery life and new health and fitness-oriented features, logical seeing the trend of Apple in recent generations and the update of watchOS 5. Will all models have LTE / 4G connectivity? It remains to be seen but the latest leaks that ensure that there will be fewer models available could go this way, so it is not ruled out that the Apple Watch is finally 100% independent of the iPhone.
