Do not see ghosts where there are none. Neither has iCloud been talked about, nor Skydrive. The article tries to collect "unofficial" applications, different from those offered by the giants Google, Microsoft and Apple. I have read it in full and that is why I am surprised that Drive does not appear ... iCloud and Skydrive would be like Dropbox or Drive's virtual disk, but I mean the part of Drive dedicated to creating, editing and sharing documents (old Docs integrated into Drive) ... As Luis Padilla has well commented, I have tried to pick up the alternatives not so well known to all. Of course I could have talked about Drive (Google), Skydrive (Microsoft), iCluod (Apple) but I found it more interesting to talk about applications that are not so typical and known to all. You always have to give the little ones a chance.
I use GoodReader to underline and annotate my .pdf files, in fact, I did a full review of the application in http://www.ipadyapps.es and a lot of people have taken advantage of the app since then.
You missed the QUICK OFFICE application which I think is the best for these cases and it is free
