IOS 12.1 beta still hinting at an upcoming iPad Pro with USB-C

The latest leaks around the iOS 12.1 beta source code showed a new device they call "iPad2018Fall«. Apple is expected to summon the press once again for a keynote in October in a few days. In this presentation Apple will announce the news of the new iPad Pro and perhaps the renewal of the Mac sector.

Developers have continued to work with the iOS 12.1 source code and have found that support 4K external displays. Until now we had no reference to this function, however the inclusion of USB-C in the new iPad Pro it could be the key in this new discovery.

The iPad Pro will have a USB-C connection

With the current version of iOS 12 it is impossible to export the image of our device to a 4K screen. Nevertheless, there are hints in the beta of iOS 12.1 showing the inclusion of 4K displays to export images. This has been achieved thanks to the inclusion of the beta in a simulator with which the finding has been reproduced.

For some years now Apple includes USB-C as a charging port on different Macs. However, the iPad Pro could be the first iOS device to carry this connectivity. It is unknown what the map to be followed by Apple, but what is clear is that they would eliminate the Lightning port to include the USB-C port. This charge shape change would thus unite the Mac and iPad sector, something that Apple has been waiting for a while.

In addition to this novelty, the iPad Pro 2018 would come with a different charger than other devices with which we would obtain a faster charge. It would be an 18 W charger with which we would obtain a higher charge than the current one, whose average charging time is too high.

    Nobody says it but the change of connector to USB-C would eradicate a redesign of the Apple Pencil (which has suffered much criticism for its way of charging on the iPad). This could explain the leaks or rumors that there were about the incorporation of the smart connector in the lower area of ​​the iPads Pro, being used to charge the Apple Pencil 2 in a more intelligent way instead of to use the Smart Keyboard with the iPad horizontally, which didn't make much sense.
