IOS 13.2 beta includes references to noise-canceling AirPods

AirPods 2nd generation

We have been talking for several months about the possibility that the boys (and girls) of Cupertino launch throughout this year, a new generation of AirPods, which would be the third, with one main novelty: noise cancellation. Apparently those rumors were founded, since the new beta of iOS 13.2 includes references to noise-canceling AirPods.

The reference is in the form of an icon within the accessibility settings, which suggests that these would work as headphones in the same way that AirPods currently work. Other references suggest that would offer different modes of use: with and without noise cancellation, called 'focus mode'.

The model number for these third generation AirPods with a noise cancellation system is B298. If the rumors pointing to a possible presentation event later this month are confirmed, it is likely that Long-awaited noise-canceling AirPods will be officially unveiled later this month.

Currently, Apple is one of the few manufacturers that does not offer a noise cancellation system in its flagship wireless headphones, this being one of the reasons why some users have not just decided to buy them and opt for a model currently available in the competition (Sony or Samsung) and that will soon be expanded with more models such as Amazon and the one that just introduced Microsoft.

Noise cancellation is ideal for when we want isolate ourselves completely from the noise of our surroundings, being ideal when we travel by subway, we are in the gym or in situations where the ambient noise does not allow us to enjoy our favorite music through our non-in-ear headphones.
