DigiTimes has published an article today regarding the delivery times of the new iPhones this year. The novelty of this 2020 is that it seems that there will be two launches of new mobiles throughout the year. The iPhone 9 (or iPhone SE 2, we'll see) will be released this spring, without a specific month yet, and the new iPhone 12 will probably be launched in September, as is customary at Apple.
All the commotion that is organized globally with the Coronavirus epidemic so that it does not spread further is affecting the two ranges of delivery times differently. The iPhone 9 is surely already in production. The Chinese government has given many holidays in their country so that people do not go to work and thus try to alleviate the spread of the virus. Another different thing will be the new range of iPhones September 12. DigiTimes notes in the article that Apple has stopped sending engineers to China to oversee engineering validation tests or the EVT stage of development of the iPhone 12. Last month, Apple already commented that it was restricting its employees' travel to China as much as possible due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Due to this delay in the final tests, it is most likely that the new Apple phones will not be able to go into production in June, as would be expected.
