As you all know, you can already buy the XNUMXth generation Apple TV from the Apple Store online and will start reaching the first customers next Friday October 30. What was not known until today was what applications we would have from (almost) the beginning but, thanks to the developers, who have communicated it to 9to5mac, we can already get an idea of what the ATV4 will be capable of, according to these developers, from the moment we open the box.
Simplex
We start with the applications that really interest you. Simplex is a Plex client for the Apple TV 4 that will be available from the launch (or just after) of the same. With Simplex Video we can access our Plex collection from Apple's set top box.
It is not an application that I particularly like, but there will be many users who wait for it like May water. That Simplex is available for Apple TV means that there will soon be other much better applications in the short term.
Mr Jump
It will not be the best game for Apple TV, far from it, but we already have confirmation that Mr. Jump will be available for Apple's top box set. I'd be surprised if the games they featured at Keynote in September, like Crossy Road, were not available next October 30.
Mr. Jump will be a universal application, which means that it works for iOS and tvOS. You can download it right now in the iOS App Store and it will be waiting for you in the tvOS App Store (or TV Store?) From the beginning.
Streaks Workout
Sport is all the rage on electronic devices and Apple TV couldn't be kept out of the way. There are countless applications to help us in our sports routine, but in many of them it would be more interesting if we could see them in one bigger screen that will not automatically turn off every minute, like the screen in your living room.
Streaks Workouts will be available for the launch of the ATV4.
Withing's Home
With Withings Home we can put cameras all over the house and see what's happening in our home from the screen in our living room. Seeing the image of the child in his crib, it is sure to attract the attention of parents who have just had a baby. You will be able to view up to 4 cameras at the same time.
sketch party
Or what is the same, a Pictionary. At the moment you can play something similar using AirPlay, but using the mirror Apple TV is not the same as playing with a native tvOS application.
In the same way that it has happened with the Apple Watch, soon the number of applications will increase, so we can do practically everything.
A question if you do not like plex or say that there are better ones, I would like to know which one you use
Hello Santi. It depends for what. What I don't like is not the application itself, but rather that I have to have my computer connected to be able to see the content of my Plex library elsewhere. I am more about transferring the film to iPad and watching it with AcePlayer, for example. If it is for streaming movies, I use Safari and visit websites that offer me links.
A greeting.
I am waiting for KODI to be installed on the new TvOs !!!
You have it clear if you think that Apple is going to approve kodi.
On iPad and iPhone it is only jailbroken
