The HomePod accounts for 70% of the market's high-end speaker sales

Since Apple will officially introduce the Home Pod, just a handful of countries have been able to enjoy Apple's bet by the speaker market, whether they are smart or not, since as we all know, and Apple has confirmed, it is not designed for that particular use due to the limitations of Siri.

In the last Keynote, Apple announced the availability in more HomePod languages, So it is now possible to get hold of it both in Spain and in Mexico, as well as being able to change the language to Spanish if we already have one, as is the case with many users who had not been able to wait for the HomePod to launch in Spain.

As usual, Apple has not disclosed the sales figures that this device has so we have to base ourselves on the figures offered by the different analysts who report on the success or failure of this new product for Apple.

According to the latest figures, the HomePod not in the top 5 best-selling smart speakers worldwide, a ranking that is led by the Google Home Mini with a 20% share. In second position, we find the Amazon Echo Dot with 18% and in third position we find the Amazon Echo with 12%. In fourth position, we find the Aliababa Smart Speaker with 7%, the same market share as the Google Home.

Despite these figures, according to Strategy Analitys, Apple is taking over the high-end market sector, since the sales of this model represent 70% of the total of the models of more than 200 euros and a maximum of 500 euros. These figures place the HomePod as the most interesting option for many users instead of the models offered by Sonos (compatible with AirPlay 2 in addition to having support for Siri) and which are available on the market for 100 euros less than the price of HomePod, a price that in Spain is 349 euros.
