Apple is not very given to allowing emulators in the App Store, however, the first version of iMAME has crept into them.
The emulator comes with 9 preloaded ROMS, it is universal and it is likely that in a matter of hours some method will be known to introduce more games manually. Of course, Apple will remove iMAME from the App Store as soon as this possibility is discovered so I invite you all to download the emulator as soon as possible.
Hopefully there is some magic key combination that allows access to the loading of new games, anyway, we will keep you posted.
UPDATED: There is already a loading method for ROMS, the same one used in the iDOS emulator. We will try to publish a tutorial throughout the day tomorrow, meanwhile, download and look at this link.
2 update: I put captures of my own harvest. Metal Slug 2 running smoothly with iMAME on an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1. Tomorrow you will have a tutorial prepared. Take my advice and download the emulator right away before Apple removes it.

Downloaded, but I have not been able to load any ROM.
There is no directory to load in iTunes, and the iPhone Explorer program (now iExplorer) does not install on my PC .. You have to joo .. steal ..
Anyway, waiting for that tutorial ..
Edit: installing iFunBox I have been able to access the directory where the ROMS are loaded, but of the ones I have tried, only one has appeared in the list of available roms in iMAME, and for more noses it hasn't worked ..
Maybe we will have to have specific roms.

Well, it has worked for me. I have used the IEXPLORE. For the right program to be installed, you must select the English language and not Spanish. I have tried some roms and some run like KOF 98, Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon, R-type LEO. Others are not like Metal Slug (it does not appear in a list of roms). Surely something is missing for these roms to work !!
The path is IMAME / DOCUMENTS. In the DOCUMENTS folder you put the games (ROMS).
