The iPod Classic survives, but for how long?

Today Steve Jobs said something like that there was news for all iPods, has started with the Shuffle, then he Nano and finally the iPod touch; but he has forgotten about iPod Classic, as if it didn't exist. It's clear that a portable player with a hard drive and no touch screen is out of date.

The click-wheel was a great invention, it made the name iPod what it is, but now that the iPod Nano has become a touch screen, the click-wheel is disappearing. The iPod classic is still on sale, no news, no price changes. Can we say the same next year?

I didn't touch it. I love the Classic and would leave it as is as not everyone likes touchscreens. The Classic is more practical and more elegant.

I currently have a Classic and a Nano and use both.

Well, I believe that either they renew it or it is condemned to die. It may be for the nostalgic but it already differs a lot from the designs of the new products, as well as the new features and so on.

Well, notice that I think it is for another market. That is, the itouch are luxurious, yes, but they have many things that have put aside the initial idea, the music. So the classic is for that exclusively, the battery will be spent just listening to music, and if I'm not mistaken it lasts a long time, apart from the enormous capacity compared to other Apple devices, it makes users who only want mp3 have plenty to fill it with all the music they have. Or simply for the car.

so no, I don't think they will delete it yet ...

Well, I do not see as clear as you see it that he is dead, I am the ipod that I have always had, if they stop seeing it, they would lose a large number of clients interested in getting all the music from their computer. Only 32 GB is too short for me at least. I would dare to tell you to measure the objectivity of your articles and not give things clear.
