The name of the new iPhone 11 is rumored: IPhone Pro. An anonymous twitter user has written that the commercial name of the new iPhone 11 that will come out in a few weeks it will be iPhone Pro.
This user, Coinx, so he assures it. It is still a rumor, but weighty. This same account of Twitter leaked very precise and true details about the iPhone XS days before its launch.
CoinX, leaked the name of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR a week before its debut. He also indicated the exact weight of the XS Max, the wallpaper, and even the asymmetrical arrangement of the grille hole that the iPhone XS line offers, almost nothing.
However, in this latest leak, Coinx does not clarify the name exactly. It is very ambiguous and Apple could use the last name "Pro" in different ways.
There could be a new tiered lineup, so the new XR could be just "iPhone" and the triple-camera iPhone 11 as "iPhone Pro." Or Apple could go ahead with the numbering and call them "iPhone 11" and "iPhone 11 Pro." Perhaps only the successor to the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max gets the surname "Pro."
In any case, this would be the first time that Apple has used the name "Pro" for its telephone devices.. But it would be logical, since in the rest of the product lines, both in iPad, MacBook and iMac appear the "Pro" as the Top of the range.
As for the "Professional" features, we do know something about what this new range will look like. It will largely resemble the iPhone XS in terms of exterior design. It will have the controversial square rear bulge that will incorporate a third ultra-wide angle lens. The back glass will have a new matte texture.
Apart from the new cameras, it will incorporate new antennas for more precise positioning indoors, the new 13nm A7 processor and bidirectional wireless charging, to be able to charge the AirPods from the back of the iPhone.
None of these new features has to be a reason for the "Pro" name. Or maybe yes. In fact, most MacBook Pro models are conventional notebooks, it is simply a way to differentiate them from the most basic level, the "Air".
We have little left to know if CoinX is right.
