I have seen in Applesfera this image that shows us two examples of How the new iPhone 4 CDMA antenna can work, the truth is that I bet on the design of the center. In theory this redesign solves the problems that some users have with the antenna of the iPhone.
But Apple does not intend to bring this design to the iPhone 4 GSM (the normal one, the one we have), some users feel deceived by not being able to opt for an improved antenna for their iPhone 4 GSM, but how many would feel deceived if Apple take out an iPhone 4 GSM with the redesigned antenna? How much would our phone devalue?
On the other hand This redesign reduces the size of the Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi antenna, so this reduction may be reflected in a decrease in the Wi-Fi or GPS signal, which could be a disadvantage for the new model if this lack becomes plausible for the user, I suppose we will know as soon as the iPhone is available on Verizon.
In theory, the design on the right is the one that will avoid direct contact between the 2 antennas. Another thing is the reception, being smaller ...
Regards!
@ mother2k1 the one in the center would also avoid it because the central one above is still used for the same purpose as the right (CDMA) is separated in the top-right corner. It has a cut-off point, also visible in the photos like the rest.
no problem if this one has an antenna gate again they go out to say that other telephones have it too and "give away" covers that they previously charged and everyone is happy
