Apple registers the new iPhone SE two months before WWDC 2018

We have been speculating for months with the new iPhone SE that Apple could launch to renew the current model, which already has two years behind it. And today new records have appeared made by Apple in the "Eurasian Economic Commission" (EEC) that indicate almost unequivocally that the launch may be as imminent as this May or June during WWDC 2018.

Up to eleven new iOS devices have made their appearance in the EEC document, an essential step before their launch for sale in our territory. History says that you have to pay attention to this leak, since on previous occasions it has served to know the launch of new devices such as AirPods, new MacBooks or new iPad.

These are up to eleven devices with codes that do not correspond to any of the existing ones, so they must be new releases. We don't know much about them, except that they are "smartphones with iOS 11". Discarded the new iPhones that almost certainly will not arrive until after the summer, it is most likely that they will be the new iPhone SE that will take over from the 2016 model.

With two years already behind him, the iPhone SE already needs a renovation. We shouldn't expect big changes, but The headphone jack will surely disappear, they will incorporate wireless charging for which they will have to put a glass back like the iPhone 8, and they will improve the camera, perhaps to place it at the level of that same iPhone 8. As for the processor, it is most likely that they include the A10 Fusion, ruling out the incorporation of the A1 Bionic of the latest iPhone models. The borderless design also seems discarded, keeping the same front as the current one. Nor does it seem likely that they will add Face ID, keeping Touch ID as the identification method.

The announcement of this iPhone SE could occur during WWDC 2018, but We do not rule out that it is a launch through a press release, with no associated event. It is after all a minor update that could perfectly be done more discreetly.
