The new beta of OS X 10.11.4 supports Live Photos

Either Apple takes it easy, or the iOS department works a long way from OS X and they do not maintain any type of communication. The new Live Photos feature on newer iPhone models has been available since the arrival of iOS 9, but is not currently supported by the OS X Messages app.

How can it be possible? Well, from what I have commented previously, I do not believe, but it seems incredible that both operating systems are designed under the same roof and that one is always late adding the functions of the other, as in this case.

It is not that Live Photos is a fundamental function for any user, but the slowness or laziness in adopting this new function is surprising, making it compatible with OS X El Capitan. This week has been the week of betas, we have had betas for everyone. The one corresponding to the Mac, OS X 10.11.4 finally brings us the Live Photos support in Messages app, something that should be available since the final version of El Capitan was released, at least it is how I understand it should be.

Until now, these improved photos could only be viewed in the Photos application, which greatly limited the ability to share them with our environment. Until now when we wanted to share a Live Photo the recipient I only received a static image, losing both sound and movement along the way.

If you are a Mac user and want to try the latest beta to start sharing Live Photos through the messages application, all you have to do is use by Apple's public beta program, add your Apple account details and download the latest beta.
