The next A14 processor will be the first to exceed 3GHz

iPhone 11 Pro

Changing the subject a bit, we go back to the Cupertino guys tech news, we go back to the rumors. And is that as we continue with the same theme every day we are going to go crazy, so we return to our usual ration of rumors in relation to what the guys from Cupertino bring us next. And today we focus on the how will the next processor that the iPhone 12 will bring, a new processor that it could exceed nothing more and nothing less than 3GHz. After the jump we give you more details about what is expected of this new processor.

We talk about the next processor A14, a new processor that will be the successor to the A13 that the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro carry, and which is expected to arrive this coming fall with the launch of the next iPhone 12 models. Rumors indicate that in a supposed Geekbench 4 a score of a frequency close to 3.1GHz is obtained. This means that this new A14 would be 400MHz more powerful than Apple's current processor, the A13, which reaches frequencies of 2.7GHz.

Taking into account the Geekbench 5 score, this has increased. According to the data provideds, the A14 processor would have obtained a score of 1658 (25% more than the A13), and a multicore score of 4612 points (33% more than the A13). A power that could be very interesting in order to run simultaneous workflows, navigate through applications, and many other functions. Of course, we will have to wait until next fall to see all the features that this new A14 chip of, by the way, only 5nm can bring. It goes into production next April so it seems that the machinery for the next iPhone models is already working.
