The next iPhone will be called iPhone 7

While rumors continue to emerge about the features that Apple's next smartphone will include, new information comes to us that could surprise to a lot of people. We all think that we are in a “years”As far as the iPhone is concerned but, according to the analyst's statements Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, in Cupertino they would be considering creating a telephone with the enough new to skip the S model and call him directly iPhone 7.

Kuo suggests that this change is due to major hardware changes. One of the novelties that the supposed iPhone 7 would include is the technology that was added for the first time in the Apple Watch and that is already present in the Trackpads of the new MacBook: Force Touch. This new technology could open the door to new functions on the smartphone. Kuo also reports that the iPhone would use a different system used by Apple Watch and Trackpad, the iPhone being a system that would detect the area we are pressing instead of the applied force.

Unlike claims about internal news, no comment is made regarding the design external of the new terminals. It is assumed that the size of the screens will be the same as those used by the current iPhone 6, but Kuo does not tell us what he thinks about the case. Those in Cupertino would break the tradition of a design every two years if they renewed it, but it wouldn't make much sense to change the iPhone model number without a new look. If he is correct, these statements would deny the arrival of three models this year, with two iPhone 7 models arriving in September with the same screen size as the 2014 models.

In my opinion regarding the iPhone 7, I do not think that Apple is going to change the number of the device just for new functions that come from the Force Touch. The S model has always been a model with the same design as the previous model with new hardware to make it more attractive. If in 2013 they did not skip the iPhone 5s adding 64 bits, slow motion and the double True Tone led flash, I do not think that this year they will change their modus operandi only for the Force Touch.
