IOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4 Public Betas Now Available

With the launch of the first Betas of iOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4, we found a novelty that has interested many: how to unlock your iPhoen with the mask on thanks to the Apple Watch. Now with the arrival of Public Betas anyone can use this feature.

Tired of having to enter the security code of your iPhone every time you try to unlock it on the street? The use of the mask has left the Face ID of our iPhone very badly affected, but with the arrival of these new updates for our devices things changes radically, because now our Apple Watch can help us unlock our iPhone even wearing the mask.

In order to test this new feature without having to wait for Apple to officially release this update for everyone, you don't have to be a developer. Thanks to Apple's Public Beta program we can access these trial versions, and they are already available to install these new versions on our devices. You just have to click on this link and follow the steps to register your devices in the Apple program, after downloading the profiles, restarting the devices, the new Betas should appear available for download and so you can start enjoying this new feature.

If at any time you want to stop testing Betas, all you have to do is delete the profiles that you downloaded on your Apple Watch and on your iPhone, and wait for Apple to launch a version higher than the one you have installed, at that moment the update should appear on your device, and when you install it you will have left the Public Beta program, until you feel like trying new things again before anyone else. It is important to note that Public Betas are less risky than Developer Betas, which is why they always come out a little later.

    Frankly, great

For my work I was continuously entering the password since I work with a mask and it was a nuisance, I installed the updates on both an iPhone and an Apple Watch series 3 and in my case it works like a charm. It is a joy to unlock the iPhone with the mask on and pay with the Apple Watch!
