The pace of production of iPhones 6s could be slowing down

iPhone 6s

If there is something that surprises us every time Apple launches a new smartphone, it is the ability it has to break all sales records year after year. The new ones iPhones 6s and 6s Plus have achieved sales of 13 million units in our first weekend of availability, compared to the 10 million achieved last year. Even so, Apple seems to be reducing production of them.

This rumor, confirmed by Pegatron, has its part of truth and its part of lies. It is true that production could be declining at the company's plant in Shanghai, but it would only be due to a transfer of the production chain to another location in China and not because demand is not meeting expectations.

However, and despite the fact that the data for iPhones is really good after its launch, the truth is that the new “s” models could be selling less than last year's models. Specifically, sales would be between 10 and 15 percent lower than last year, something logical if we take into account that "s" models tend to be less attractive to the general public.

It is still too early to talk about the iPhone 7 - or whatever the name of the next Apple smartphone is - but, if we look at the evolution of Cupertino's in the Asian market, We would not be surprised by anything that would again beat all the forecasts of previous years. Although sales go up, what we do hope will not continue to do so is the price of these devices in Spain, where we have already seen how this year the base model exceeded seven hundred euros for the first time.
