Facebook's Safety Check feature will be available natively

Facebook has been characterized in recent years by dedicating itself to copying over and over again the competition, be it Twitter, Snapchat ... which suggests that the team of engineers that Mark Zuckerberg has at their disposal do not have much imagination. However, and although it seems strange, not only does he dedicate himself to copying, although he does it most of the time, but from time to time he has a great ideal, an idea that also allows us to inform our loved ones quickly in case we find ourselves in a risky situation, be it an attack, an earthquake… I am talking about the Safety Check function, a function that was activated the last time it was during the attacks in Barcelona.

Safety Check is a Facebook function that so far it was activated only when an event occurred that put people's lives at risk and with which we can inform quickly, in this way we avoided having to notify the people who matter most to us one by one to reassure them without them waiting to receive a message or a call from us.

Mark Zuckerberg's company has decided to add this feature natively in the app, a feature coming in the next few weeks. Although it is true that it is a very good function, implementing it natively in the application will not help people remember to use it, since when an event has happened in which Facebook has activated it, it stands out above all the publications almost forcing us to use it if we are in the area.

This function not only allows us to report our status if we are in the area of the event, but also lets our friends quickly know if we're okay. Safety Check came to Facebook in 2014, a function that was aimed at reporting in areas where natural disasters occur, but after the 2015 attacks in Paris, it has also been used for this type of unfortunate event.
