Gameloft has released a version of the famous video game The Settlers for the Apple iPad.
The saga began in 1993 from the hand of the Germans of Blue Byte for PC and Amiga and since then it has had up to six new deliveries. It is a series of strategy games, in the purest Age of Empires style where we must manage the resources of our community at the same time that we defend ourselves and attack our rivals or trade with other settlements.
In The Settlers we can control different historical civilizations such as the Romans, the Vikings and the Mayans.
We will have dozens of different buildings and we will have to make our neighborhood improve little by little.
The decisions we make regarding its administration and protection will be decisive in the fate of our settlement. We will compete or cooperate to achieve various objectives. These objectives include occupying land, ensuring the supply of raw materials, or simply trying to create the most attractive colony. There is more than one way to be successful: you can dive right into trade, forge alliances, or lead your army into battle.
Game Features:
- Gather resources and build a cheerful and lively city in an ancient world. Your decisions and skills in the administration and protection of your colony will determine its destiny.
- The strength of your units depends on how well you have built your colony; It is also important that you pay attention to the economic relationships within it.

As you can see in the video below, the game presents a casual and very colorful graphic section, although with the possibility of seeing dozens and dozens of units on the screen at the same time. The control has been improved to adapt it to the touch interface of the iPad, which seems especially suitable for games of this style.
