The Silent Age is a game for iPhone and iPad that embarks us on a graphic adventure starring Joe, a man who from one day to the next is involved in a series of events that change his life completely.
As a good graphic adventure it is, in The Silent Age we have to interact with the objects that surround us to get clues to help us unravel the mystery. Control of the game is done by tapping on the screen, it does not matter if we want to perform an action or move the character.
If the object offers some interaction, a message will appear on the screen indicating what it is for. In other cases, access to certain rooms of the scenarios may be blocked because we need to find objects that we haven't come across yet. If this is the case, a message will appear in English with a clue that will limit the search radius, something that is greatly appreciated to avoid taking detours.
This is when we discover the first downside of this magnificent game and that is It only has English translation. If we control the language of Shakespeare a little, we will not have any problem in advancing satisfactorily but if we do not have a clue of English, progress in the game will be significantly complicated.
It is striking that The Silent Age collects the best of a genre that seemed abandoned in recent years and it is that the graphic adventures marked a very important time in the world of video games. 2D graphics, a soundtrack that is worth enjoying with headphones and a story that hooks are the keys to getting addicted for hours.
Another downside that we find in The Silent Age is that it is a story that its creator has decided to divide into several episodes, what's more, the first installment is quite short if you take it with a lot of desire. The second installment is already in development but as we can see on the game's official website, they are looking for funding to launch it officially and, neither more nor less, they want to get $ 25.000.
Hopefully if they do not get the figure they ask for, the second episode of The Silent Age will be published in the same way although for this they have to put the payment game.
