The third beta of iOS 11.3 wastes the battery of older devices

We continue to test the performance of the iOS 11.3 betas, and the reality is that for no apparent reason the latest beta (theoretically the one prior to the Golden Master in response to rumors) proceeds with some battery consumption that does not merit the general performance of the device. At least these are the first conclusions after a week of use.

Yesterday we were left at the expense of the new version of the Beta, returning among other things the functionalities of AirPlay 2, disappeared with the latest firmware update for developers. Be that as it may, The third beta of iOS 11.3 wastes the battery of older devices like the iPhone 6s.

The system has not yet solved problems that have dragged on since its inception such as keyboard lags for no apparent reason. However, the consumption of the battery when playing any type of multimedia content has shot up almost 30% above what was previously offered, even in terms of captures, using native applications that until now had offered battery and power consumption. Quite concise mobile data (native applications are for something). Could this all have something to do with the sudden disappearance of AirPlay 2However, what is evident is the fact that Apple has to solve it before releasing the final version or the criticism will be many.

The fellow owners of the iPhone X do not seem to observe battery consumption above normal for a beta, while in the iPhone 6s it reduces it to levels of the worst versions. In the meantime, we will remain attentive to the possible update to the GM version (which could arrive today Tuesday at 19:00 p.m.) and analyzing what could be the real cause of this battery drain beyond the classic use of the device.

Is that they are forgetting that now to play a video or even to tell the time iOS 11 uses artificial intelligence, I think that even to activate the Tapic Engine is necessary.

I don't notice anything strange in mine. How many otas do you carry? maybe it's time for a clean install without backup when ios 11.3 final hits.
I have ios 11.2.5 with several otas since 11.0.0 and once a week it starts to consume more battery than normal.
It is easy to see it with omnistat, it is seen that the use of cpu never falls below 10%
Another way to see it is with the usage time in the foreground (statistics inside the battery). If you lock the terminal at 11:00 and you had 3h 42 minutes of use - when you unlock it again at 11:05 you will have to check it again 3h 47 minutes (that is, 5 minutes more)
if ios is running on it would continue in 3h42m (or at most 3h43m) and the cpu stabilizes below 7% of use.
    regards

High or tall!! It is the Beta version, the one that is supposed to be a test to see what faults it has, right? Well, let them fix it. Or does anyone think that Apple has not noticed that abnormal battery drain?

HORRIBLE!!! It is a very critical situation ... It is a joke to see how mid-range phones fly with social network apps, when my iPhone 6plus drowns for 8 seconds or more to open any app ... including the settings app! it's a shame apple makes us go through this ... probably try some android for a few months to see what
